I’ve been honing my artistic
balance since I was a small child. My first introduction to the
elements of design was on an East Coast train while passing the
time with my father. He taught me how to draw a teacup on a saucer
and a box with a lid. Those skills were the best gift I’ve
yet to receive. From childhood pencil sketches on scraps of paper
I progressed to “paint by number kits” (which was the
rage in the 60s) and then included collage and mixed media to my
repertoire. All of my life has been an artistic journey.
While my peers were getting high on drugs,
I found a greater connection to color and shapes by cruising art
supply stores and import/export houses for the unusual papers and
tools I would need for my home projects. I’ve worked in
clay, oil, acrylic and enamel as well as textiles. It was after
I began my first watercolor class that I knew I had found my whole
self.
These paintings are just reflections
of life flowing through me onto paper using color and water to
communicate to you. They are all originals. I use only pure watercolor.
Enjoy browsing my work and when you see
something that touches you, please tell me about it. I've provided
my phone number and email address for your convenience. Feel free
to leave your contact number and the names of the paintings you
wish to discuss. I’ll be glad to hold your selection for up
to 48 hours to give us time to make contact. |
